Tap Trumps Bottled
A majority of bottled-water brands do not contain fluoride.
While most tap water contains fluoride to help protect baby teeth, a majority of bottled-water brands do not. During the past decade, government researchers have seen a 4 percent increase in cavities in children ages 2 to 5. They attribute the additional cavities to the increased consumption of bottled water by very young children, along with their intake of sugary drinks and snacks and overall poor oral hygiene.
