04.12.12 Nan Far Woodworking Recalls to Repair Drop-Side Cribs Due to Entrapment, Suffocation and Fall Hazards; Sold Exclusively at jcpenney

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Nan Far Woodworking Co. Ltd. announced a voluntary recall of about 16,700 Rockland Furniture Drop-side Cribs.
The cribs' drop sides can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the drop side to fall out of position, creating a space into which an infant or toddler can roll and become wedged or entrapped, which can lead to strangulation or suffocation.
This recall includes Rockland Furniture brand drop-side cribs imported and sold by jcpenney from 2005 to 2008. The wooden cribs used plastic hardware to attach the drop side. "Rockland Furniture" and the model number can be found on a rectangular label located on the lower portion of the headboard panel. Click here to view the full list.
Sold at: jcpenney stores and online at jcpenney.com from January 2005 through December 2008 for between $150 and $400.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact Nan Far Woodworking for a free repair kit that will immobilize the drop side. In the meantime, find an alternate, safe sleep environment for the child such as a bassinet, play yard or toddler bed depending on the child's age.

03.22.12 Safety 1st Cabinet Locks Recalled Due to Lock Failure

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Dorel Juvenile Group announced a voluntary recall of about 900,000 Push ‘N Snap Cabinet Locks due to lock failure.
Young children can disengage the cabinet locks, allowing access to cabinet contents and posing the risk of injury, due to dangerous or unsafe items.
The cabinet locks were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from January 2004 through February 2012 for between $2 and $4. View all model numbers included in recall here.
Consumers should immediately remove the recalled locks from cabinets and contact DJG for a free replacement Push ‘N Snap lock with model numbers HS158 or HS159. When removing the recalled locks, consumers are urged to immediately store dangerous items out of reach of children.

02.23.12 Kelty Recalls Jogging Strollers Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Kelty announced a voluntary recall of about 3,000 Kelty Single and Double Jogging Strollers due to fall hazard. The front wheel can come loose during use and cause the stroller to tip over, posing a fall and injury hazard to children in the stroller and adults pushing the stroller.
This recall involves Kelty Speedster Swivel Deluxe single jogging strollers and Swivel Deuce double jogging strollers. Click here to view additional photos and model numbers affected.
The strollers were sold at juvenile product stores and sporting goods stores nationwide and by Web retailers, including www.kelty.com, from January 2010 through February 2012 for between $375 and $475.

02.03.12 Bumbleride Recalls Indie & Indie Twin Strollers Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Bumbleride Inc. announced a voluntary recall of about 28,000 Bumbleride Indie & Indie Twin Strollers due to a fall hazard. The front wheel can break at the axle hub, causing the stroller to tip and posing a fall hazard.
The strollers were sold at Buy Buy Baby and other baby product stores nationwide, online at Bumbleride.com, and other online retailers between January 2009 and January 2012 for between $500 and $700. Click here for a full desciption, photos and model numbers.

01.05.12 IKEA Recalls to Repair High Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with IKEA North America Services LLC, announced a voluntary recall of about 169,000 ANTILOP High Chairs due to the high chair's restraint buckle can open unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard to the child.
This recall involves ANTILOP high chairs sold in red, blue or white. Click here for a full list of of model numbers. The high chairs were sold at IKEA stores nationwide from August 2006 through January 2010 for about $20.

12.22.11 Bugaboo Bee Strollers Recalled by Bugaboo Americas Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Bugaboo Americas announced a voluntary recall of about 7,000 Bugaboo Bee Strollers.
The front swivel wheels can lock while the stroller is in motion, causing the stroller to tip and posing a fall hazard.
The recalled strollers are made for newborns and toddlers up to 37 pounds. The strollers were sold at Toys R Us, Buy Buy Baby and other baby product stores nationwide, online at Bugaboo.com and other online retailers between February 2011 and September 2011 for about $650.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Bugaboo or the retailer where the stroller was purchased to receive free replacement swivel wheels.

12.22.11 Bugaboo Car Seat Adapter Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Bugaboo Americas announced a voluntary recall of about 64,000 Car Seat Adapters.
When the adapter is used on a stroller that also has a wheeled board accessory attached for transporting a standing toddler, and the car seat is positioned so the child faces forward, the car seat can disconnect from the adapter and fall.
The adapters included in the recall were sold at Babies "R" Us, Buy Buy Baby, Neiman Marcus, other department stores and independent juvenile stores, Bugaboo.com and other online retailers nationwide from December 2005 to July 2011 for about $45.
Consumers should immediately stop using the adapter and contact Bugaboo for a free service kit and decals.
