Your Baby at 10 Months
Learn more about your baby's development at month 10.
At 10 months, he babbles with intonation; this sounds like talking, Roth says, but there are no real words. At about 12 months, he begins to say things like “baba” for bottle or “wawa” for water.
Your baby's first unassisted steps can happen anywhere from 9 to 15 months. But the majority of babies first begin standing and cruising between 9 and 12 months of age, once they have adequate leg, arm and back strength; head control; coordination; and balance.
