Bedtime Routine and the Daily Grind

Ever since we discovered the magic of the bath-before-bed routine, we’ve clung to it religiously—as has Leo. As soon as he hears the bath water running he relaxes. Just think: you’re a baby, you can’t communicate or understand all the blah blah blah around you, and you get toted around and subjected to one surprise event after another. Knowing what’s next and what’s expected must be a huge relief. Kind of the way I feel working in-house on my cookbook project right now, after all the unexpected ups and downs of freelancing. Except without the warm water and toy pirate ship.
