1. No More BPA!

Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says that bisphenol-A, an ingredient used to make polycarbonate plastic items (including many brands of baby bottles and food packaging) is safe, other expert groups disagree because some research shows that BPA can leach into food and beverages and may cause adverse health effects. Playtex responded to parent's concerns and is now offering several BPA-free products, including VentAire Advanced Bottles, $5-$6 each, and Drop Ins Original Nurser Bottles and Liners, $4-$5 each. You can also find pacifiers, cups and other baby feeding essentials that don't contain bisphenol-A in the line. playtexbaby.com.
