Month 6 (weeks 21-24)

Your Body

You're just past the halfway point and may feel yourself slowing down a bit. You may begin to notice some aches in your lower back and legs as well as varicose veins, urinary incontinence and skin pigmentation changes.

Your Mood

Many pregnant women report having frequent, intense dreams that often include animals or misplacing the baby. Fuzzy brain persists due to sleep loss and fatigue. The good news? You could be experiencing heightened sexual response during this "honeymoon" trimester.

Your Baby

At 11 inches long, the fetus is now the size of a box of sugar. Your breathing pushes amniotic fluid in and out of your baby's lungs. Footprints and fingerprints are forming, and a sense of balance is emerging thanks to a fully developed inner ear.
