How to get your healthy dose of fruits and veggies—no kitchen required

You're not alone: The average American adult eats vegetables just 1.6 times a day, and fruit just once a day, according to a recent report from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. What's more (and worse), instead of packing our plates with fruits and veggies, about a third of our daily calories come from junk food, says a study conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture.
