Dips for Toddlers

Ingredients

Creamy Avocado Dip
  • 1/4 avocado, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons regular or reduced fat sour cream
Creamy Fruit Dip
  • Applesauce or fruit preserves, to taste
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
Sesame-Yogurt Dip
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons tahini
Creamy Parmesan Dip
  • 2 tablespoons regular or reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Buttermilk

Make It

Creamy Avocado Dip

1. Combine and serve with steamed green beans, whole wheat crackers, steamed broccoli.

Creamy Fruit Dip

2. Swirl the fruit into the yogurt, serve with sliced apples or pears, bananas, pancakes or waffles.

Sesame-Yogurt Dip

3. Combine and serve with cucumber spears, sliced red bell peppers (peel with a vegetable peeler for younger toddlers), whole wheat pita bread.

Creamy Parmesan Dip

4. Combine mayo and cheese, thin with buttermilk as needed. Serve with romaine lettuce hearts, breadsticks or hard-boiled egg wedges.
