While actress Kelli Williams was expecting in real life, so was Lindsay Dole, the character she plays on the award-winning TV show The Practice. When we spoke with her, Williams, the wife of writer Ajay Sahgal, was seven months pregnant with the couple’s second child. Their son, Kiran, is 2.

In everyday life, the British stage-trained actress is married to journalist Florian Haertel; on screen, she’s pregnant by fellow ER physician Mark Greene. When we asked Kingston about her real and fictional lives, both she and her ER alter ego were a week from delivering their first baby.

And Alba was still going strong. Here's how she stayed in such great shape before and during her pregnancy.
Maternity Spanx are my favorite right now. The stomach is cut out so its fantastic when I'm wearing a nice dress because there is no chafing! I am wearing a lot of Juicy right now also, long dresses with extra room in the bust so everything is in a bigger size but if I go for maternity clothes, I like Pea in the Pod.
Flip-flops, of course. I just don't want to wear anything else on my feet at this point!
Q: Your life is so busy. How are you feeling now that you're pregnant?
A: At the end of the day I am so tired I can't function or speak and my eyes glaze over; but this pregnancy has seriously mellowed me out, which is nice. I've been going, going, going for so long, it feels nice not to take things so seriously.

Expecting her first child this winter, Courtney Thorne-Smith, now 40, is also promoting her first book, Outside In (Random House). The novel is about an actress on a prime-time drama who is wronged by her sleazy husband and her co-star. Thorne-Smith's own husband, Roger Fishman, has a digital media company, The Zizo Group; they married Jan. 1, 2007. Currently starring in ABC's According to Jim, she previously appeared on (the prime-time drama) Melrose Place and on Ally McBeal.
Brooke Burke, co-host of CBS' Rock Star, has lots going on. The series is anticipating its third installment this summer, her third child is due in late January (she has two daughters with Extreme Makeover plastic surgeon Garth Fisher), and she's engaged to ex-Baywatch cutie David Charvet.
