8.27.09: Baby Jogger City Mini Strollers Recalled by Baby Jogger LLC
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Baby Jogger LLC have recalled about 41,000 “Baby Jogger City Mini Strollers” because the stroller’s restraint buckle could break or unlatch allowing the child or infant to fall out. The jogger was sold at juvenile products stores, mass merchandisers, and department stores nationwide and on various Web sites including www.amazon.com from November 2007 through July 2009 for between $220 and $400.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Baby Jogger to receive a free replacement restraint buckle and installation instructions. 8.20.09: Cloth Books Recalled by Sterling Publishing
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Sterling Publishing Co. Inc, of New York, New York have recalled about 15,000 eebee’s “Have a Ball” Adventures Cloth Books because a string attaching a ball to the book can become entangled in the basketball hoop element, posing a strangulation hazard to young children. The book was sold at book and toy stores nationwide and Internet retailers from June 2008 through June 2009 for about $15.

Consumers should immediately take the book away from children, and return the product to the place of purchase for a refund. For more information, contact Sterling Publishing Co. 8.17.09 Clarks® Children’s Shoes Recalled by C & J Clark America Due to Choking Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and C & J Clark America have recalled about 2,000 children’s shoes sold under the “crawlers” and “hazy daze” style names. Molded rubber pieces on the sole of the recalled shoes can detach, posing a choking hazard to infants and young children.

The shoes were sold at Clarks® retail stores nationwide from February 2009 through July 2009 for between $35 and $40.

8.6.09: Target Recalls Circo Booster Seats
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Target, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, have recalled about 43,000 Circo Booster Seats because the booster seat restraint buckle can open unexpectedly, allowing a child to fall from the chair and be injured. The booster seats were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide from December 2008 through June 2009 for about $13.

8.6.09: Jump ‘n Jive Doorway Jumpers Recalled by Graco
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Graco Children’s Products Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia, have recalled about 2,400 Jump ‘n Jive™ Doorway Jumpers.The recalled doorway jumpers include detachable toys that are attached to the jumper straps with strips of hook and loop fabric.The strips of fabric are not permanently attached to the toys and can become detached during use, posing a choking hazard.The jumpers were sold at Babies R Us and other children’s speciality retail stores nationwide and online from Amazon.com for about $55.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and remove and discard the detachable toys and the attaching fabric strips and call the manufacturer for a replacement set of toys. After the toys and fabric strips are removed, consumers can continue to use the jumper and interactive musical dance mat.   2. My daughter's Jardine crib was recalled. It was such a pain in the butt to dissassemble it and pay more for a new one. The US manufacturers need to wake up and QUIT MAKING things in CHINA!!!!!

  3. We were lucky enough to have been given a silver tiffany ring for a gift and it shouldn't sit in a drawer! better to know that it is pure sterling than worry about which plastic is ok.
