  2. I don't understand why they cut the cord so quickly. I thought if you waited until the cord stopped pulsing, it was much safer for the baby, as he/she gets the final amount of oxygen etc. from the mom. Can someone else comment on this?
  3. Labor is the most horribly wonderful pain ever -- I'm preparing for our fifth baby due Feb.-- and I'd do it again and again to have these beautiful blessings. Every pain you have means you're closer; not one pain is wasted. I've had one C-section and 3 VBACs (hopefully a 4th -- recovery is quicker), and I went totally natural with #3 -- piece of cake! ( Although I'm very grateful for epidurals!!) I don't think it's an unbearable pain -- I think some people have to endure worse pain on a daily basis. Labor is temporary, and when it's over, just looky at what you've got!! Best wishes!!
