Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk chose a baby name that'll appeal to your inner Francophile. The famous couple welcomed their daughter about two weeks ago, and we've just learned the baby name they chose for their little girl: Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper.

As far as Hollywood baby names go, this is a fairly classic pick—Lea has Greek roots, and according to Today, the name means "bringer of good news." The spelling may not be as common as the more traditional L-e-a-h, but it's definitely a popular variation (see: Actresses Lea Thompson, Lea Salonga and Lea Michele).

But the baby's middle name represents a more unusual choice. The new father's love for France is well-documented, which is why the pick shouldn't come as a huge surprise to his fans: "Seine" also happens to be the name of a river that runs through Paris. Bradley and Irina reportedly spent plenty of time strolling the streets of Paris during the early days of their relationship, which just gives the beautiful moniker a whole new significance.

Paying homage to a meaningful place is nothing new—plenty of parents opt to honor the places they met, married, conceived or gave birth—but we love that this couple stayed away from the obvious choice. Instead of naming their daughter Paris, they threw in a more subtle nod to their beloved city, and if the name really was inspired by their love of all things French (and we suspect it was), this is a really clever way to incorporate an international feel.
