Contrary to Popular Belief, Natalie Portman is Not 'About to Pop'

People tend to think Natalie Portman is about to give birth really soon—but the actress set the record straight.

In today's installment of "every pregnancy is different and that's ok" news, Natalie Portman recently confessed that people often assume she is—in her own words—"about to pop." The truth? The Oscar winner still has "months to go" in her second pregnancy.

"It's weird 'cause I'm a small person in general, so you show a lot faster and a lot more when you're small," Natalie said during an appearance on The Tonight Show. "Everyone thinks I'm like, about to pop and about to give birth any minute...and I have like, months."

Natalie—who is expecting her second child with husband Benjamin Millepied—raised an important point: Everyone looks a little bit different during pregnancy, and there's nothing wrong with that. Some women show quickly, others barely look pregnant even when they're actually "about to pop." Some carry low, others carry high. Some only gain weight around the midsection, others gain curves in unexpected places. The point? As long you're healthy, it's all good.

The actress went on to share a story: "I went to this store the other day...and the guy at the checkout counter was like 'almost, huh?' And I was like 'no, not at all.'"

Can you relate to what the actress said? Do people ever comment on how far along you "look?" There's really no "right" way for your baby bump to appear—but people constantly make comments about how "big" or how "small" pregnant women look. They probably don't mean any harm, but it can be pretty exasperating.

In any case, Natalie is, in Jimmy Fallon's words, "showing and glowing," and she looks amazing!
