Hamilton's Tony Award-winning actor Leslie Odom Jr. and his wife are expecting their first child!
Wait for it: One of Hamilton's original Broadway stars is about to be a father! Leslie Odom Jr. and his wife, Nicolette Robinson will welcome their first child together.
Both Nicolette and Leslie, who won a Tony Award for his role as Hamilton villain, Aaron Burr, announced the news on their Instagram pages: "One of the greatest gifts we could ever ask for. Leslie and I are so excited to share the news that we have a sweet baby on the way," Nicolette wrote alongside an adorable photo of the couple.
Leslie shared a similar photo with his own message: "Little one, you're on our mind all the time. Keep eating and growing! We love you and we're already so proud of you! Love, your mom and dad."
You may recognize the couple from their work on television as well: Nicolette stars on The Affair and Leslie worked on Smash. There's no word yet on whether the couple is expecting a boy or a girl, but we can only hope they'll choose to go with a Hamilton-inspired name when they become parents. Fans of the absurdly popular musical would obviously love that: One Instagram user even urged Leslie to "NAME HER THEODOSIA", a reference to Leslie's Hamilton character's daughter.
We'll have to wait until the baby arrive to see if they take the fan's suggestion but for now, one thing is clear: That's going to be one talented kid.
