The 'Nashville' actress announced the news herself.
Hayden Panettiere has entered treatment for postpartum depression. And no, this isn't an old piece of news you're seeing—the actress has been very vocal in the past about her struggle with PPD and has sought out help in the past. She entered rehab for the issue in October 2015 but will return for additional treatment, according to an announcement she made on her Twitter page.
"The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life," she posted. "Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!"
Sources report that Hayden will undergo treatment in Utah.
Hayden welcomed daughter Kaya in December 2014 with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko. She's openly discussed her struggle with postpartum depression since.
"I can very much relate. It's something a lot of women experience. When [you're told] about postpartum depression you think it's 'I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings," she said during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Michael. "Some women do. But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal."
