Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are so eager to get pregnant with a second baby, an inside source says they're considering surrogacy after a struggle with fertility.
Even though 1 in 8 couples struggle with getting pregnant on their own, fertility issues remain the pink elephant at the playground. That's why we're always thrilled when celebs are open and honest about their own experiences. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are the latest power couple to share their story.
Kim and Kanye have always wanted to keep their clan growing, Kim even joking that they have sex "500 times a day". However, all of that hooking-up might not be equaling a baby. Apparently giving birth to North was extremely difficult for the 34-year-old starlet, apparently causing her placenta to grow in her uterus, and an inside source at US Weekly recently reported that a surrogate might be the only way for the couple to have another child.
The source said Kim has been undergoing IVF but with little luck, and is now looking into surrogacy as an option. Kim told Matt Lauer on the Today show a month ago, "I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try. I still have hope, so I'm just going to keep on trying. Never say never. I mean, we haven't stopped talking about adopting."
Since Kim has said she wants North and her little sister or brother to be close in age, we wouldn't be surprised if she started the surrogacy (or adoption) process sooner rather than later. Of course, the process of picking the right surrogate can be a tricky one. Maybe sister Kourtney would be a perfect candidate? She's carried three babies to term—and caught all three of them herself! After all, what's a sister for?
In the meantime, looks like Kim's already seeing double on Instagram with this latest adorable pic of North:
