Peta Murgatroyd Shares Another #MomReality: Leaky Boobs

The new mama shared a selfie featuring one of the peskier parts of breastfeeding, and we're loving how candid she is about all aspects of new motherhood.

As a new mom, Peta Murgatroyd is totally disarming: She just welcomed her first baby five weeks ago, but the Dancing With the Stars pro has already made headlines for showing off an unvarnished look at her postpartum body, for getting real about resuming workouts after baby, and—most recently—for sharing one reality of new motherhood few people ever discuss.

Peta—who just welcomed baby Shai with fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy—shared a selfie on Instagram, and it's so real it hurts. The photo shows Peta posing in a white crop top with a very visible wet spot right over her breast. Breastfeeding mamas out there definitely know what's going here.

Oh the joys of motherhood 😩 Leaking boobies are so NOT hot right now... LOL #mustremembermyboobpads

"Oh the joys of motherhood," Peta captioned the shot. "Leaking boobies are so NOT hot right now... LOL #mustremembermyboobpads"

Fellow moms are voicing their understanding in the comments section of the post:  "I know the struggle. But no use crying over spilt milk right? Lol #liquidgold #breastmilkisthebestmilk," one woman wrote. Another weighed in as well: "Yes!! I remember those days well. Out in public and I'd have to press down on them if any baby within earshot cried or I'd leek right through no matter how many boob pads I had on. #momproblems," she wrote.

Other mamas offered up solutions, with one advising Peta to invest in both cotton and plastic-backed nursing pads, and another telling her to stick to dark-colored tops to hide the leakage.

We're loving how real Peta keeps it, and how she's doing her part to normalize breastfeeding. What's more, her post offers up a chance for other moms to chime in with their experiences and share their own advice—what she posted is more than just a simple selfie, it's a chance for women to come together and form a virtual community of sorts, one in which women from all walks of life can feel united by the experience of motherhood.

Peta is just starting out in her life as a mom, but we can only hope she keeps these unfiltered posts coming. We're just going to say it: Peta is definitely high on our list of mom-crushes right now—do you agree?
