Don't Sacrifice Comfort

"I have two pairs of stretchy maternity leggings and jeans, which I will never give up, because once you experience an elastic band for a waist you will never go back. I hope to be able to pull it off after pregnancy."

Wear Versatile Clothes

"I'm trying not to buy too much straight-up maternity wear that I can't wear afterward. So I love Rosie Pope blouses, where you can wear them while you're getting back into your body. You don't want a full wardrobe of pregnancy clothes because you might encourage yourself to never leave this body behind."

Feel Good, Look Good

"I wanted to make sure I was only wearing stuff I felt really beautiful in. You can get into a rut where you don't feel sexy."

The Perfect Picture

"If you try to hide your bump in photos, you'll just look big. I put my hand under my stomach [or on top], so you can see it better."

Choose Your Shoe

"I don't do stilettos; it's not worth it, but I do support a wedge or chunky heel. You want to be comfortable and stable. Plus, I'm clumsy anyway." Case in point, these "cutie booties" by Jean-Michel Cazabat that Daphne posted on Instagram during her second trimester.

Phone a Friend

"When in doubt, ask a buddy who has good taste and fashion sense for her advice. That's the beauty of having a camera built into your phone: you never have an excuse to go at it alone."
