Taylor Swift took a break from her 1989 World Tour to meet her godson: The newborn son of actress Jaime King, who captured the moment perfectly on Instagram.
Taylor Swift took a detour from her 1989 World Tour to meet her godson, Leo Thames Newman, born on July 16 and Jaime King's second son with husband Kyle Newman.
The sweet moment, where Swift is shown gazing lovingly into the newborn's eyes, was captured on the singer's Instagram feed with the caption "Meeting my boy."
A second photo depicts the baby's fingers curled around Swift's sparkly-manicured fingers, with the lyric from the 25-year-old's song "Never Grow Up": "Your little hand's wrapped around my finger and it's so quiet in the world tonight..."
King also posted the photo of Swift and baby Leo with the caption: "My loves meet. Baby boy Leo Thames and his God Mother = Bliss. X"
The Hart of Dixie star told People Swift was the perfect person to be the godmother to her son. "I just knew after being so close with her and watching how she works and watching how she lives her life and also her family is like my family," she said, "so for me it felt like the only choice, the most natural choice."
King and Newman are also parents to 21-month-old James Knight.
The actress opened up to Fit Pregnancy about her struggle with infertility, which included five miscarriages, five rounds of in vitro fertilization and 26 rounds of intrauterine insemination before King finally conceived her first son naturally.
