This Couple Can Legitimately Say 'We're Pregnant'

This same-sex couple is expecting two babies within just a few weeks—both ladies are pregnant!

Have you ever wished your partner could experience what your pregnancy is really like? If so, you might feel a bit envious of Lindsay Lanciault and Toby Fleischman—both members of the married couple are pregnant, and they're set to welcome their babies within mere weeks of one another.

According to The Huffington Post, Fleischman, who is the older of the two, tried to get pregnant with the couple's first child for over a year and suffered a miscarriage during that time frame.

When Fleischman learned she was pregnant again, the couple decided that they couldn't be too careful. Since Fleischman's first pregnancy didn't last, Lanciault decided she'd undergo insemination too...and just a few weeks later, she learned she was also expecting.

The couple announced the news on Instagram. "We're excited to share some news...Lindsay and I are both pregnant! Yes, you read that correctly. We are both having a the same time," Fleischman wrote alongside a photo announcing both women will welcome baby boys. "Well, three weeks apart to be exact. Everyone always says they want to get pregnant with their best friend and I just happened to be lucky enough to be married to mine. Our 'twin' boys will be joining us this summer and we couldn't be more elated!"

How incredibly sweet is this? Not only is a beautiful story, it's also a perfect example of the fact that families come together in a whole variety of ways, and the couple's experience sheds some light on the experience same-sex pairs face when they choose to become parents. This particular family faced so many obstacles: From finding a sperm donor, to miscarriage, to infertility, to worrying about societal stigmas, their path to motherhood wasn't a simple one. But it is theirs, and it's inspiring.
