Brantley is the hottest new boy name

The baby boy name Brantley is the biggest mover of the year, jumping 416 spots to be ranked at number 320. Brantley is a name of English origin that means “proud.” Why the surge in popularity? It seems that country music singer Brantley Gilbert, who has the chart-topping song “Country Must Be Country Wide,” influenced many parents this year!  It is interesting to note that this year’s hottest new name sounds a lot like last year’s biggest mover, which was Bentley.
